My final major project at university focused on exploring effective techniques to manage stress, recognising its significant impact on employers and students. This was a particularly meaningful project as it followed the COVID-19 pandemic, a time when many people were struggling to adjust to new routines and challenges.
During my research into stress and anxiety, I delved into colour theory to ensure the designs avoided harsh or overwhelming colours. For the final design, I aimed to create a sense of community and connection. To achieve this, I developed recognisable t-shirts that would help foster a supportive atmosphere.
The project began with drafting a detailed brief and sketching initial ideas to determine the direction I wanted to pursue. Once I chose the theme of stress and anxiety, I conducted thorough research into these topics. My goal to create a design that conveyed a fun and approachable vibe, ensuring the brand felt uplifting rather than stressful. To achieve this, I opted for a bold, playful design that would resonate with the target audience.
The outcome was a vibrant community-focused project that addressed an important issue but also helped to promote positivity and connection through thoughtful design.
